Microsoft Office 2013 Consumer Preview is the Home Premiume edition of Microsoft's productivity suite, providing all the key tools you need to complete your school and household projects effectively.

Word 2013 makes it easy to create letters, school reports, family newsletters and many other documents. And the new colour schemes, enhanced SmartArt graphics, screenshot tool and powerful image editing options ensure your work will look better than ever.

Excel 2013 is perfect for tracking expenses, or creating a household budget, or quickly analysing just about any set of figures. The new Sparklines, tiny one-cell charts, help to clearly summarise your data. And more conventional full-size charts are easier to create and edit than in previous versions.

PowerPoint 2013 allows you to convey your ideas through eye-catching and professional presentations. You're now able to embed videos into your presentations, edit them and add stylish special effects. And presentations can now be saved as videos, PDF or XPS files, so your recipients don't need a PowerPoint viewer to see them.

Outlook 2013 is the powerful contact management and email client in one.

And OneNote 2013 is a comprehensive personal information management tool. Create a oneNote notebook and it's able to hold documents, text, video and audio files, web pages and other online resources, the ideal companion when you're just about to start any research project.

Note that there is no generic download of Office 2013. Each download is customized and requires a Microsoft Live account. Follow the download link on this page and sign in with your Microsoft account.

In general context, there is no special requirements to install new Office system and computers that currently can run Office 2010, can run Office 2013. Although you should check first (just to be safe) the minimum system requirements in prior to install Office 2013 product lineup.

 

Office 2013 Consumer Preview System Requirements 

Here’s a breakdown below:

  • Computer and processor: 1 Ghz or greater x86/x64 Processor with SSE2 instruction set
  • Memory: 1 GB RAM (32 Bit) /2 GB RAM (64 Bit)
  • Hard disk: 3.5 GB free disk space
  • Operating System: Windows 7 or newer, either 32-bit or 64-bit; Windows Server 2008 R2 or newer with .Net 3.5 or greater. To use with Windows 8 you must be running the Release Preview version or higher. Get the Release Preview.
  • Graphics: Graphics hardware acceleration requires DirectX10 graphics card and 1024 x 576 resolution

Note: It isn’t possible to install on a PC running Windows XP or Vista.
